2020 - Bristol
Despite the challenging time that everybody in the world has faced in this last year, Apex has continued to progress throughout, of which we are grateful.
Notable Projects -
St Mary's Church, Cricklade - Reinforced concrete underpinning.
Excavating underneath the walls of a thousand-year-old building and installing a four-staged reinforced foundation is always going to be challenging.
However, the team completed the project with confidence and we've helped to preserve the church for another thousand years! Archaeologists on site even had to apply for a license to move human burials within the work area!
Pressed Breedon Gravel Driveway - September 2019
We have just finished landscaping this driveway in Herefordshire using Pressed Limestone Golden Amber Gravel. This is a great alternative to regular gravel as requires less maintenance and has a smoother, more even finish.
It is laid to an even thickness on top of a suitable sub base and rolled in with water. This creates a durable solid layer underneath to prevent potholing and improve water runoff.
We also cladded the blockwork barn in timber. This is cost-effective and a great way to bring old outbuildings back up to date!
Live Wall Installation - June 2019
The Apex Landscapes team have added yet another new tool to their belt.
In the hills of Monmouthshire, our expert landscaping team have installed this Live Wall System - complete with an automatic irrigation system.
Here are a few pictures showing you the set-up of the units and the finished result.
Even as experienced landscapers, we still come across new challenges and hone our skills with every project.
Wild Flower Turf Meadow - 2019
Our Landscaping team have turned this hard-to-mow bank into a real garden feature.
Using Wild Flower Turf we were able to create an extremely low maintenance landscaping solution that looks great! With ten native wildflower species within the turf, the colours are going to really come out and brighten the garden.
